Tavaris Jackson's Fantasy Football Ranking

Lets Face it Jackson is a Backup
Tavaris has lots of talent and is a great at coming in and giving his team a pick me up during a season. But this guy in my mind right now just isn't a starter in the NFL. Lets just say their is a reason why the Vikings stuck with Gus Frerotte as long as they did last year. Mainly because of veteran leadership that Jackson just doesn't have. Gus at least had the ability to look his teammates in the eye and push them in the right direction. #7 up to this point just hasn't consistently shown that on the field in his career.

If Brett Favre ends up not signing with the Vikings Jackson will probably get another chance for success this year. That is because Sage Rosenfels while talented makes a lot of mistakes and may even get hurt. Especially if he keeps taking on three defenders at a time like he did against the Colts last year. Jackson isn't worth a draft pick this year but if given a chance off the bench he should make for a nice boost in a short stretch for your team. This guy just seems to have something a little extra when coming off the bench. Yes he would win my 6th man award (or is it 13th man in football? 12th going to the fans) if they gave that award in football.
