Lets face it Alex Smith is a bust and the 49ers haven't had a really good quarterback since Jeff Garcia. For a team that has been dieing for solid quarterback play, they just don't want to give Shaun Hill any respect for what he's done for them the last two years. In Shaun's two season's with the 49ers he's posted 18 touchdowns, 2,600 yards in 12 games. And unlike JT O'Sullivan he only has 9 interceptions to go with that . Out of those 12 games he's played 10 of those games #13 has started. In those games his record is 7-3
(5-0 at home). Not bad for a losing team.
This off-season you would have thought Shaun was the unquestioned starter coming into 2009 but so far this off-season Head Coach Mike Singletary insists the position is up for grabs. Now don't get me wrong about what I'm going to say, I like Singletary a lot and love his personality. But that is a load of CRAP! Alex Smith isn't worth the 49ers logo on his helmet compared to what Hill has done for this team (sorry I'm a 49ers fan). It's time for Mike to call it like it is and say nationally that Hill is the starting quarterback for the San Fransisco 49ers. Now go out and Punch People in the Mouth!
Shaun Hill Fantasy Football Value in 2009
Once Singletary reads this page, by now he will have let the world know Hill is the starter no doubt. Shaun should make for a nice back up quarterback in deep leagues come the 2009 season. I do believe tight end Vernon Davis will have a good year after Singletary put Vernin's ego in check last year. Also veteran receiver Isaac Bruce and running back Frank Gore will help in the passing game as well. But if Hill is to make a run at starting for a few fantasy teams this year, young talented receivers Michael Crabtree and Josh Morgan must step their game up. In the end Hill makes for a quite back up quarterback in fantasy football at the end of your draft.

-Good Offensive Line
-Good Touchdown Maker
Fantasy Liability's
-His best receivers are very young
-In a Run first Offense
-Not the Strongest Arm in the World
