Pierre Thomas's Fantasy Football Ranking

Looking back on 2008
In preseason Pierre wasn't even granted a roster spot on the team. But mainly because Duce McAlister was still recovering from his second acl surgery Thomas made the final cuts. Upon making the squad #23 filled in for Reggie Bush to give him a breather now and then. But in the middle of the season Reggie went down with a knee problem of his own. Thomas would have become the feature runner at that point alone if Duce wasn't healthy enough to play. But unfortunately he was and Pierre only received round 12 to 15 touches for a few games. Even though he didn't carry the ball a lot he did a lot with the touches he received. Down the stretch of the season Pierre ascended into the top spot on the Saint running staff and in the end had a very impressive back end of the year. Finishing with a 4.8 yards per carry, flashing great pass catching ability's and had 12 touchdowns!

With Duce McAlister now gone from the team and with Reggie Bush supporting a bum knee, Pierre will have a chance to shine again. Sure he may not be the starter week one on paper but make no mistake about it he is a better runner than Bush. I see Pierre duplicating his double digit scores again this season. As far a wear to draft Thomas; he makes an excellent flex play #3 runner for your team. Look for Pierre to keep over achieving this season.
