Johnson Needs to Puts his Troubles Behind Him
The 2008 season saw Larry have his 2nd bust season in a row for fantasy football. This really should not have come as a surprise as the Chiefs have had a very poor supporting cast around him the last two years. But it hasn't all been his teammates around him that has lead to his downfall. LJ has also had off the field issues as well that have hampered his production. He has had assault allegations he's had to deal with that have been a distraction for him and the team.
Even though Larry did lose tight end Tony Gonzalez, he also gained a good quarterback in Matt Cassel. Kansas City also signed the Offensive coordinator from the Cardinals as the head coach. With an offensive minded coach, Larry should benefit from a more open style of offense. Kind of like the offense they play the last couple moths a year ago.
Larry Johnson's Fantasy Football Value in 2009
Yes it's true Larry does have baggage but he is still a feature back in the NFL. In a day in age were so many teams love to run two running back, Johnson is still very capable runner to carry the rushing load. With Larry coming off two bad year and on a bad team you will get LJ cheap in your fantasy draft. Look for Johnson in late middle rounds of your draft.

- 20 or more rushes a game
- Offensive Minded Head Coach
Fantasy Liability's:
-Has missed at least 4 games each of the
last two seasons
- Off the Field Issues
- On a Losing Team
- Offensive Line Is Not Great
