Can Clemens beat out Mark Sanchez for the Starting Job?
Kellen was at one time thought to be the future quarterback in New York. This thinking change how ever when Clemens received an opportunity to start in the middle of the 2007 season. Reason for the mind set change was mainly because he posted 5 touchdowns to 10 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 60.9. With these bad numbers the Jets acquired Brett Favre in the 2008 off-season and Kellen was left as the backup.
Upon Brett Favre's retirement from the Jets Kellen was ready for another chance to show he was capable of being a starter. But yet again New York moved up in the 2009 NFL draft and selected Mark Sanchez from USC with the 5 overall pick. Now Clemens is stuck in a battle for the starting role in week 1 this season.

I believe Clemens will come up short again for the starters role in New York. So far in spring Mark Sanchez is looking good and has the tool set to start right away in this offense. If in fact I'm right and Mark does receive the starting role, only an injury will get Kellen into the ball games this year. But if in fact Clemens finds a way to win the job he may be worth a stash in deep fantasy formats. With a great offensive line and a good cast around him #11 could be a good bye week fill-in for your team.
