He Was Supposed to be a Top Five Pick!!
This off-season Jay Cutler and the Denver Broncos divorced from one another. Jay was supposed to be the next great quarterback to play his entire career in Denver, but it will not happen now. With this change of team's Cutler takes a big hit in his fantasy football value. I want you to stop for a minute and try to name a receiver on the Bears (Devin Hester doesn't count)..............I bet you could not name one without using Google. Now don't get me wrong Jay will have very solid tight ends in Desmond Clark and Greg Olson but man no receivers!
Jay Cutler's Fantasy Value in 2009
This year look for one or two of his receivers to step up and become a viable fantasy option for your team. I'm not sure whom it's going to be but with a quarterback like this someone is going to become worth a lot more come their next contract. I do believe his tight ends will have solid years and Matt Forte is very capable as a receiver so that helps.
As far as where to draft Cutler in fantasy football I think he is still a low end starter or early backup in your league. Still a top ten quarterback as this guy is just too good not to make the Bears offense work well over time.
