Try Walking in My Shoes
This off-season the Giants release former #1 receiver Plaxico Burriss and then selected receiver Hakeem Nicks in the draft. This late first round pick has body that remind some of Anquan Bolden. This type of receiver is clearly what the Giants needed as a team. Nicks showed his talent in North Carolina were he broke just about every receiving record in school history. Look for Eli Manning to lock on to Nicks especially inside the 20 as Hakeem is very solid at using his body to shield off defenders.

Hakeem Nick's Fantasy Football Value in 2009

With rookie receivers it is hard to say what their impact will be in season one. But the Giants really need this kid bad as he is the only big receiver on the roster. If the Giants are going to find success in the long run of the season and playoffs they need this kid to produce. Especially around the end zone as he is the type of receiver that can go up and get the ball at it's highest point. Look for Hakim to have good touchdown total but not a lot of yards in year one. If Hakeem can win a starting job in pre-season his yardage numbers will be fine. For now Hakeem is only a late round pick at best, but fantasy owners need to keep him in mind for this year and next. Watch his progression.
