Can You say Running back By Committee?
In 2008 Joseph Addai had probably the most disappointing season of any fantasy football player. I'm not sure what part of Addai's running was more disappointing. Maybe it was the injury that made him miss 4 games or possibly the only 544 yards rushing he made while he played. I suppose in the end what ticked fantasy owners off is that in 12 games he only ran the ball 154 times! For the record that isn't even 13 carries a game average.
The Colts will run a heavy two running back set this season with Addai and first round pick Donald Brown. While both backs are talented runners I can't say that either one of them will average 13 carries or more a game right now. Other aspects of the team will hurt them as well, mainly the loss of in the off-season of their head coach, o-line coach and offensive coordinator.

Look for Brown to begin the season playing behind Addai for minutes. I do believe Brown will make for a nice player to stash away on your team late in your draft. Mainly because Addai is very injury prone and Joseph will take most of the punishment for his teams turn over in coaching. With so much change in the coaching staff I believe it will be hard for the offensive line to open the holes they used to. With that Addai will be hit in the back field by the big boys. As the season wears on the o-line will get better and by that time it may be Browns job alone (assuming Addai gets hurt). If that were to happen I think Donald could help you win a fantasy championship.
Fantasy Assets:
- Good Speed
- Good Receiver
- Great Quarterback
Fantasy Liability's:
-Will be the #2 runner in the offense
-Probably won't get the touchdowns over Addai
-Lots of turnover in the coaching staff
