Can Chris Bounce Back from Injury?
2008 saw Chambers move from being the #1 receiver on the team to #2 after Vincent Jackson. Part of the reason for this was because in week 5 Chris had a leg injury in his return game to Miami. Before he injured himself Chambers was off to a good start with 5 touchdowns in 5 games. This season he will be the 3rd option overall in the passing game behind Antonio Gates and Jackson. In a contract year I believe Chris will be highly motivated to show he has returned from his injury.
Chris Chamber's Fantasy Football Value in 2009
While Chris is not the same receiver he once was in Miami, he can still play. In a high powered offense like San Diego's the scoring is there to be had. Look for Chambers to make a run at 1,000 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns. That would be solid production for your #4 receiver on your fantasy roster. Check his health in spring games, but if everything is fine look for Chambers as a middle round pick in your fantasy draft.
