College and Draft
Chris had a great college season in 2007 upon receiving the starting job from Ohio. In 2008 he struggled at times in the offense when the team looked to him to carry the entire offense.

In the NFL Draft ,Chris was expected to be a top 20 pick but dropped to the 31st pick with the Arizona Cardinals. This was a perfect fit for both Beanie and the Cards. Arizona desperately needed a runner they could go to if just so they had a "closer" to grind the clock when they have a lead. Wells needed a team that had a solid passing game so that he would not have to take on all the pressure to make the offense go.

Chris Wells Fantasy Football Value for 2009
I think Knowshon Moreno is a better running back and was worth the 12 pick overall this season. But it may be Wells that has the better season in 2009. With a great team around him in a week division, Chris will get every opportunity to succeed this year. I liken his game to Brandon Jacobs, big and fast for his size. As you can see by the picture on this page he clearly has some moves and flexibility. No doubt I believe he will also get at least 10 touchdowns as the Cards lean on him at the stripe. Look for Wells as a solid #2 runner for your team in this years draft
