Byron Proves Himself again with the Steelers in 2008
Coming into the 2008 season, teams were hesitant to give Leftwich an opportunity to start the NFL. Because of this Byron choose to take a 1 year gig backing up Ben Rothlessburger with the Steelers. In his time he was giving an opportunity he had a 104 quarterback rating and 3 touchdowns. With this success the former Jaguar #1 pick signed a deal with the Buccaneers.
Look for Byron to start for the Bucs in 2009, but with Tampa drafting quarterback Josh Freeman in the first round he may not start after this year. If Leftwich is to maintain a starting role in the NFL, he must have a good year this season.
Byron Leftwich Fantasy Football Value in 2009
Look for Lefwich as a back up quarterback in deep leagues this season. With capable receiver Antonio Bryant and tight end Kellen Winslow he will have good options to throw too. How ever one has to wonder how deep the season can go before Winslow or Bryant have a melt down as they both have bad tempers.

- Good Receivers
- Good Offensive Line
- Strong Arm
- Plays in Good Weather
Fantasy Liability's:
- Top Receivers both have Bad Tempers
- Needs to prove he can stay healthy for a full year
